Was wondering if anyone could recommend the proper sealant, and a way to test my Bronco for leakage areas? I figured a hose, but not sure about the sealant.
After a long hard rain, my passenger door cubby had about 3 inches of water in it, but the door was not wet? Has anyone experienced this before? And what was the solution?
I put in one of those doggy gates about a year ago, and I think it pushed my ceiling up in the back - maybe unsealing some of the edge areas (or pushed them apart).
I also noticed there was dampness behind my speadometer window one time.
Check the windsheild first. Very common issue on older ford trucks/broncos. Get inside and have someone stream water around the cracks and joints where the windows seal and the doors ride; look for the water coming inside. They may have to up the pressure if the leak is small. If it turns out to be a window/windsheild, let the area dry and apply a clear silicone caulking to the arear to seal it. Or replace the window/sheild seal. If it's a door seal or weatherstripping replace it.
Fix the leak in the windsheild soon!!!!!! If it's bad enough to get water behind the gauge covers, it's gonna get to the ecm next to your left foot. They are costly.
