Hey all,
One of the crosss arms on my 2004 Excursion's low profile roof rack had a part fail. Anyone know where to get a replacement cross arm? I've checked one of the local salvage yards with no luck.
I'm in Ohio, but would consider having it shipped in if the price was right.
Thanks!
If you lived closer, I say you could have mine. I took them off because they were rubbing on the paint. I've added getting an aftermarket as on of my things to do. Did all years have the same roof rack?
Well since the topic came up i went out and checked mine, i have one broke that flip handle is missing off of one end of one. Will that make much diff if so, i'll need to find one myself. Musta checked 3 outta the 4 when i looked at the vehicle. O welp i still love my X.

The flip thing is what failed on mine. Car wash probably got it. I didn't lose it, but it doesn't latch down. I found out it is just a little metal flat spring that failed in the assembly. That's all I really need, but if there are entire cross arms to be had...
I do plan on using mine, least i think i am, might say the heck with it and just buy one of those receiver hitch carriers with a luggage bag like what would be on top of the X anyway's. Anyone use those and if so can i get some feed back. Not trying to highjack the thread, feel free to move if need be.
I use mine about 1-2 per year. But it's only for things like getting the X-mas tree home, or to throw some snowboards or something of the likes. In fact, I was just going to remove them, but it kind of helps shield my Sirius antenna from the car wash.
Monsta,
If you are serious about getting rid of yours, can you PM me to see if we can work something out?
