2001 F150 Supercrew fuel filter replacement
I see that there is a step by step article for the newer F150 fuel filter replacement, but can anyone give me a step by step for my 2001 F150 fuel filter replacement? I took it to a shop and they wanted $150, which seemed really steep to me.

Your 01 should have the AC style connections, so you will need an A/C or fuel tool set. Lisle makes a set that should sell for $10 at your local parts store.
Discharge the fuel rails (should be schrader valves on both sides),just clip the tool over the line, push, wiggle and curse. The fuel line will come loose, then repeat for the other side. The new filter just pushes on.
