holley 6919 tuning

I have a holley list 6919 on my 85 460, this carb has the reverse idle system. I have the idle mixture screws all the way in, which is were I have the highest vacuum reading and the engine still idles slightly rough. It seems to me that I am running lean. What jet size do I have now? and how many sizes should I go up?

Well, It came with 622 jets. Which are emmisions exact sized 62 jets.
I would try 65 jets. But I don't know if this will help the idle. How does it run other than a rough idle? I am guessing you have checked everywhere for a vacuum leak. What intake manifold do you have?

Here is the Holley link for carb info http://www.holley.com/data/TechServi...%20Listing.pdf

I just switched to a Edlebrock performer manifold after having problems with vacuum leaks with the factory manifold, the roughness it smoooths out as the rpm's increase and if I stomp on it, well it will pin you back.
on my vacuum gauge I have a high and fairly steady reading

Pull the spark plugs and see how they look. Black from too rich or white from too lean.

You are aware that the reverse idle carbs adjust the opposite of a regular Holley. The adjustment screws adjust bleed air rather than fuel. When you turn the screws in you richen mixture.
I assume you already knew this. I just thought I would mention it in case you didn't.

I stepped up to 66 jets by swapping a diffrent carb on to the engine I am going to be checking the plugs today to see if there was color change, but I still have a slightly rough idle
