Hi,This is my first post here.I`m looking for a good set of rear fenders for my 1940 1/2 ton.I been restoring it for a year and a half now, in between my customer cars which always puts the 40 on the back burner. This photo shows the first day I bought it.
Welcome to the FTE forums, hope you can find what you are looking for here.
That's a great looking '40 you have there...very nice shape from how it looks in the pic.
By the way, nice '66 Mustang...is it a real Shelby?
Yes, I`ts a real 1966 Shelby.I restore antique and classic cars for a living and specialize in fords. This is one of my cars in my collection a 1970 Boss 302 factory drag pack.
Sorry to tell you, but you are probably going to have a real hard time finding any fenders for your 1941 truck project. We lucked out on our 41's cause they were repairable with a lot of welding and doing away with old welds. These were mainly "farm" trucks so most anything you find will have been used & abused.
I'm not sure, but you may be able to get (yuck) fiberglass fenders, but since you restore vehicles, I wouldn't imagine that thats the way you want to go. If you have anything at all to work with, use it - probably the best you'll be able to get.
Hello Boss40, Its great to have you on the forum. There are a lot of folks on here that have a lot of experence on these old ford trucks. Here is a web site you might check for used fenders. http://www.antiquetrucks4sale.com/ I don't think they ship so it might not be useful to you. Do you show your Mustangs around the country? The photo you posted is fairly old according to the date, have you completed anything on the truck as of now? That young driver sitting inside will have a ball riding or maybe someday driving that great truck.

I have about 3 sets of '40 rear fenders. I'll see if I can get some pics together for you. I think that most of them have at least one tear, but most are repairable. Let me know if you are looking for just perfect/restored sets. We may be able to work something out. I'd just have to put some time into them.
You can check out my gallery. The first pic of my '40 shows the right rear fender. Most of the fenders are in a similar condition.
That's one very nice Boss 302 you got there. I have a '70 Mustang SportsRoof myself, although not a Boss 302. Although it is a Deluxe Interior car, as yours looks to be. Hope you will find all the help you need here. Enjoy the stay.
Thank you for the welcome guys. I`ll get some photos together on the progress of the`40 .The cab is almost ready for primer and the flathead has been completely overhauled bored out 80 over.My son is 14 years old and actually is the one that completly disasembled the truck,we`re having a lot of fun together.
Proguru,I would be interested in seeing the photos of the rear fenders.I don`t have a problem with a tear, just want to stay away from rust.
You bet...that a Genuine Ford Accessory, and it's the same one the passenger cars use. Originals bring BIG BUCKS! The grille guard is the piece between the bumper guards (which were standard on the Deluxe Fords, but an accessory on the trucks).
I can't tell however if the flipper discs are real Olds Starfires (1954/56), or aftermarkets. Starfire was the top 98 Olds model.

Alright, I promised fender pics....so here they are. I have 3 sets of rear fenders. They are grouped in rows.....1st row is one fender....2nd the next, etc. Pics of all of them are not being posted as they are in similar condition. They all need some work.
