EMPTY 1947 Ford Panel-help(PROJECT)
I need to know HOW i would go about getting new transmission and engine for this model.it has nothing in it.also any info on putting on big wheels and websites that may help. thanks

Mudwrestlingirl, Hi, welcome to the boards. I have a 40 1/2 ton pickup That sounds about like what you have, what you have to do is decide how you want to build it original engine or new model. as far as big wheels and tires you can change the rear there are bolt in kits that put newer rears in the old trucks mine has a 92 turbo t-bird rear in it and I will be able to put 15" wide tires on it under the fenders they won't even stick out you can put almost any engine in it you want mine is proof of that!!! I'm going to replace the engine in mine with a 5.0 mustang engine the engine mounts will have to be changed and if you want to run a new one with fuel injection you need a mustang computer and a wiring harness but they are nice old trucks and should be rebuilt and driven.
