Convert 36 "ton and a half" to pickup?

Convert 36 "ton and a half" to pickup?
I just located a 36 1.5 ton that's pretty complete, but I want a pickup. Are the fenders and sheet metal the same on a pu and 1.5 ton?
I have several beds and rear fender sets - 37 to 39 I believe.(All say "Ford" but some have a "V8" on the tailgate??).
Looks like the 1.5 has shorter running boards, but maybe the 39 running boards would fit?
Would a 38-39 frame be usable or similiar for this conversion?

Convert 36 "ton and a half" to pickup?
I looked into doing this a few years ago. The front fenders are larger than a pickups to accomodate the larger wheels. The running boards are shorter. I believe that the cab and other front sheet metal are the same as a pickup. I also remember the gas tank being in the cab (under the front seat I think) while the pickup gas tank is under the bed.
