does anyone know how many '40 & '41 1/2 ton pick-up's are still existing, no matter which condition, vintage, rodded, chopped or not.
Overhere in Europe they are seldom, I know of about 6 confirmed sightings from meetings and from Magazines. So the actual number might be below 20 or so.
What is the situation in US and around the rest of the world?
The number still around is probably near impossible to figure. More and more are still popping up as they are being rescued from barns and fields. They ae a very popular pickup, and many are '42-'47s that have had the front clip change to the '40 -'41. I would guess the amount of true '40-'41 is well over 10 thousand. There really is no shortage of these trucks here in the US. Look on sites like eBay and you will find a handful everyday.
