Clyde,

You might be able to find something tht will work here;
http://www.mcmaster.com/

Thats where I found my exhaust manifold bolts, about 3 times cheaper than Summit, PAW, Speedway, JEGS, etc

When I was looking for them a couple of weeks ago, the only place I found that had them was Red's Headers. At least they had the small ones. They would have to order the long ones from somewhere back east and it would take 1-2 weeks.

See Phatty's thread on "flathead leaks" for reasons to buy the correct bolts! Part of the torque spec on these is based on the minimum diameter of the factory-style bolt, which is different than hardware store bolts. What's wrong with your old ones?

If you mean they are thinner in the middle of the length of the bolt, I think that is the factory shape of them. If the threaded part looks stretched and a nut won't run up them easily, then they are are shot. If they are very rusty, toss 'em. Try measuring the overall length (from underneath the head to end), see if they vary much.

You can't go wrong replacing them, but it would be pretty hard to stretch these without stripping the holes in the block. The deck is not that strong, unfortunately.
