All right, here is the deal. I found the truck I've been looking for but it's 4 hrs away. I called and talked to a salesman last night about the truck. It is as follows;
07 F-150
4x4 Screw
Fx4
White
5.4, Auto
That is the basic info but it does have a few options on it that I like. The Msrp is $37,960. I have got them down to $31,650 with an out the door price of $32,810. I would like to get them down to around $30,000 on the truck and I would go get it, but they won't budge an inch on the $1,600 difference.
Trim package? Other options? Wheel style and size, etc.?
Would you be interested in looking at an 06 if there are any available? That would give you some more bargaining leverage. It'll be hard to get the dealer to move much on a brand new 07 if there are no 06's to be had.
how did you get them down,rebates or what?take 31,650 and add back on any rebates or factory incentives now if the price is 37,960 ask yourself who gets the rebates and incentives.the dealer, meaning you still pay the dealer full price.why should the dealer get your 32 and all rebates and incentives if it equals full price.they may not be discounting it at all.
They were figuring the $3,000 rebate and $3,100 for the Xplan. Plus he said that they added alittle because they couldn't offer me the free oil changes and Va. inspections since I live so far away. Are there any other rebates or incintives out there? Someone was telling me that there is a Loyal Ford Owner incintive out there but I haven't seen it.
Well i think 32,000 is pretty good like cmos said if there is 06s they aint going to budge much on 07s trying to get rid of 06s so maybe consider one of those if you want the cheapest deal i guess here you usually pay at least 40,000 or more for the kind of truck your talkin about FX4, Screw, 5.4 Auto but its different here of course
avoid it if you want the creature comforts of nice seats and little electronic gadgets. sounds like that is the base model FX4. there is a FX4 "plus" out there that comes with Lariat options and the MSRP is about $41,000.
This one has some nice features. I have looked and there really isn't any 06's left or that's what I would get. I found an 06 Lariat about a month ago that was stickered at $43,500 and it was marked down to $31,000, I guess that's the one that got away but it really was more than I wanted. I will list the total options for this one.
07 F-150

It is really the truck that I'm looking for. It has a couple options that I don't care one way or the other. I'm just trying to hold out for a better price. If I could get them to drop from $31,650 for the truck to about $30,500 or maybe throw in a bed liner and vent shades, I will go get it.
Thanks for the replies, it helps to talk these things out.
