Silly question probably is there an easy integral way to reverse the direction of the rack?
I am toying with installing a R&P instead of the volare box My engine donor car has the rack in front of the wheels where the volare clip has the tie rod behind the wheels. Any ford product with the R&P behind the wheels? Hopeing for an easy swap that I can use the stock hoses.

You will probably have to go with a R&P that mounts from behind. It seems as though I remember someone offering a R&P just for Volare suspensions but I don't remember who right now. Some Dodge products from the 80s had a rear mounted R&P. I used one for an 81-83 Dodge Aires on a Mustang II styled crossmember from Progressive Automotive on a 29 Ford in the late 80s. I'm not familiar enough with the Ford products to suggest one.
There is a kit avaiable to do this from a company called Weedeter. Not cheap though. Several years ago there was an article in Hot Rod Machanix magazine on installing a rack on a Volare, seems like they used one off a front wheel drive Chrysler product.
Gary, I've seen several references to using a chevy lumina van rack on different front ends. Don't have any first hand knowledge, but it may give you a direction to look. Let us know what you find out. Several members of this forum have said a short coming of the volare is the steering box, perhaps you will find the solution for us.
