And my fun begins...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a few shot's of my '36 I took after pulling the engine this afternoon.

http://home.earthlink.net/~passnb4u/1936ford/

I have a chromed 4inch dropped axle I think I'll use instead of an M2 setup, just for the ease and cost mainly.

I have an F1 rearend from the '48 I parted out, I'll flip the perches and run the springs under it to drop it down to match the front more.
Cool thing is this truck has a big upsidedown "U" over the rear axle, so no C-nothing will be needed to lower it 4 or 5 inches.

As you can see, the interior will be left open to whatever I can come up with.

The only real surgery I need to do will be the rockers, they're not to bad rust wise, just bent out of shape, I think repo's go for 60 or 70 bucks a set. I'd make them myself, but aside from the shape, theyre also curved to follow the cab some.

The hood, front fenders and grille, cab and box are pretty good. The rear fenders are the worst of it, and I'll probably farm them out.

I have a good driverside running board and the start of a pass side too...pass side RB will need some time and patience.

As long as I don't get frustrated and opt for Fiberglass, I think I should have the making of a decent roller by Spring.

Going to hit the wrecking yards this weekend for a donor 5.0/AOD. Once I get the engine and tranny mounts set, I can pull the cab, get a good look at the frame and see if I need to do anything. I may pull the big X member, make new crossmembers and box the frame, but I'll decide that once I get the cab off.
