1947 ford 1-ton parts interchange

anyone tell me parts interchange for a 1/2 ton vs 1 ton ford truck, mainly bumpers and gas tank?

Also, are the gas tanks the same for earlier and later trucks? having a hard time finding ANYTHING for this customers '47!!!

Have you checked Mac's in Lockport NY? I'm not sure if Joblot in NY has early stuff, but you might check with them. L M C ? Or Mack's in Moberly, MO

I have a 48 and 52 so my list of suppliers may be one model year off. In 48 they moved the tank to behind the seat so later won't work for you.

The tanks are the same from '42-'47, regardless of the size of the truck, exception being the COE trucks. The bumpers are the same for the 1/2 ton and the 1 ton. The bigger trucks (1.5 ton and up) called for a different bumper according to the Ford parts book. Somebody on eBay was recently listing a NOS gas tank for these trucks, I think it may have been Dennis Carpenter, but not 100% sure.
