Need some advice from the experts on what this truck is worth to the right buyer. It has the V8, 64,000 original miles, runs perfect, ZERO rust. Everything is original including the paint on the firewall and interior. I was blown away at how good it looked. The outside paint was redone in the original color. Here are some pictures I took http://www.rebelrockrunners.org/gallery/v/buildups/andrew/55ford/
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

That's a nice stock beauty. If it were a F-100 that could bring go big dollars. A F-250, with that milage I'd say $3500-4500 and see how people respond. It may go for alot more.
Actually, it's not mine. I was looking at it to buy for myself. The owner is asking $15,000. Everything about the truck is cherry. I've never seen a "non-restored" truck in this good of condition. It's got the 272 V8 btw and large rear window. I just don't know enough about classic cars to guage the price so I came to the experts for advice Thanks
It's a nice truck but I think his price is high. If I was interested in the truck I think my highest price would be $6000.00. The underside is rusty and if you look at the front bumper it is crooked which could be from a bent frame or the sheet metal is high on one side. Also the engine and engine compartment looks like it had some paint thrown on it for resale, but for what it's worth that is just my opinion.
A worn drivers seat and a paint chip here and there. Out of my range, out not an outrages price. I bet he gets what he Is asking. I would offer 10k and work from there.
Is that extra piece of metal where the running board bolts to the lower part of the fenders stock or is that an illusion? Did Henry not paint the entire frame? Take a look at picture DSC03114 it shows a line of rust and black paint around the running board bracket. There is also what looks like overspray of black paint on the bottom of the bed. I think someone shot that black spray paint on later to cover up rust and make it look better. I bet it will be back to rust in a year or so.

It is a great truck. If he is saying it was not touched, painted, etc. he is wrong! In addition to the reasons from above, let me offer 2 others: In the closeup of the dash, the plug that fills the hole where the throttle **** goes should not be painted, it should be stainless or silver; the tailgate chains should not be painted, they should be stainless and at this point would be rusted; even though the bedwood is painted black as it was when coming from the factory, I believe the whole bed including the bed strips was black, not body color; and finally, in 1955 and '56 the wheels were not painted body color, they were white, same color as the grille.

All the metal around the running boards looks stock to me, at least its the same as what's on my 56 F-250.
I agree with Abe that the truck appears to have had a recent respray. The tailgate latches and chains are another big give away and should not be body color. For the body paint to be in that perfect of condition the truck would have to have been sealed in a ziplock bag someplace, and if you look at the rust on the rear springs and rear cross members you can tell it has been rode hard and put away wet a few times.
Still, it does look like a nice truck, although definitely not $15k nice. For that money I would expect a competent, accurate restoration on an original stock truck like that.
The owner did say the truck was painted but in the original color. He did mention though that the interior and firewall was not painted so supposedly what you see there is the true original paint. Never been touched.
Looks nice and the price is not outrageous!!But--These guys are right about the things that was need of attention.I personally would only figure 10-12k,but it is nice.I especially am fond of the color.I think if you pay 15k--you are not going to be making any money on it.It would be a keeper--and a nice one at that.
