What color was the clutch housing, cover plate and inspection cover on a 58 F-100? I thought it was low gloss black, but mine has some blue paint on it. Thanks for any help you can give.
on my 58 MERCURY it appeared that the "bellhousing was the same color as the engine (pewter silver)
........now here's the kicker.......i have the history on this truck since new (know the owner of nearly 30 years personally) the engine was never outta this truck b4 i got it and upon shampooing it it was block & bellhousing pewter silver & orange valvecover & black aircleaner (element type)
HOWEVER.... in an 58 FORD brochure i have, the picture of the engine is orange block & bellhousing with silver valve cover.
maybe the canadian, or just the mercury trucks were different in this aspect.
