I have a 66 stock with 352 3 speed and a buddy of mine has a 73 F100 with a 390, I was wondering if there are alot of parts off of his rig that will interchange. I was thinking about the brakes, dont know if they are disc or not and also about the trans, its a 4 spped, prolly a granny gear 3 speed not sure, i tried to do a search but it wouldnt let me. thanks, or tell me where the info is, I searched about 30 pages. I was thinking about buying it just for future parts. it runs he wants $850? would that be worht it. body is good.
Tons of parts will interchange. If it has power dics brakes and power steering buy it and seel the motor, tranny, rear end and glass to make up the differance. You may have to use the cloumn out of the 73 to make the steering work.If it has manual steering and drum brakes you may want to pass..

1973 & later FoMoCo F Series ALL HAVE disc brakes & the better Saginaw type Power steering system, and if it has a 390 somebody put it in there besides FoMoCo.
I gotta agree with John if it's solid and it runs and is a turnkey piece you can sell it for much more than $850 all day long if you post it in the right places. . . . Don't canabalize a do-able truck just for a few parts. Get a truck with some problems to it.
