removing the radio from 00 excursion

is there anything special you need to do besides inert the tool into the holes on each side of the radio? i have them inserted but the radio wont budge at all.

Insert both horseshoes and push them both outwards, firmly pull the radio towards you.

I happened to see this post the other day, then came across this website today that shows how to remove the entire dash (I'm assuming that you are replacing your stock radio and thought the info maybe helpful).
