Well as I stated erlier I got my truck registered for the first time in a lomg time. I was complaining about the rain but it was dry enough anyway. I drove down to the muffler shop and had my new exhaust hooked up and drove around town awhile. It was awsome. It should be aginst the law to run mufflers on a flathead. It may not look like much but man does it talk to yah!!!!! Thanks for the compliment sovereign. Rick I am not runnung a bed on this thing. I will post some more pics as soon as I get my rear fenders mounted. Thanks for the positive input guys.
What a pretty truck! I take it the stacks are the exhaust you got hooked up? Were they there to begin with, or did you put them on? Old blue had stacks on her at some point, but they were long gone by the time I got her...would've been fun to have, but too expensive for me to replace at the time.
Do you plan on doing a lot of hauling, or was that pic just for looks?
Hey Blue, When I got the truck it had stacks on it but they were pretty rusty. I bought some more and just mounted them on the old brackets. I actually plan on working this truck. Ive got a twenty five foot gooseneck trailer rated for 20,000 lbs. My dad raises horses so I'll use this insted of my 3/4 ton to do the hay hauling. Ive got a few buddies with cows and I will haul there round bails for them which way about 1000 lbs each and I sould be able to fit at least 12 on my trailer. This winter I will be hauling my dads john deere 4020 to my house for some work. Its about a 10-12000 lb tractor and its a 30 mile trip so it ought to be a good haul. Thanks for the compliments guys. Scott, the truck is the same wheel base length as my 3/4 ton so it turns about the same. Talk about a ball of fun to drive. I've got a pinion leak so I guess I will fix that next. Let the teething problems begin!!!!!
I just put new tires on my F6. I am in the process of rebuilding an 8 rt. I took the valves out tonight and its off to the shop in the am. A valve job, new pistons ,and what ever else they say. I cant wait to start putting it back together. I have not decided on what to do about a bed yet. I'll just wait until I get to that point.
