rear disc help

my buddy has 2003 f-150 we were doing the rear pads and cant get the rear calpers to release to put the new pads on and back on the roter, i only worked on drum brakes so its probably simple just dont know any help is appreciated

Hello 70 Ford Cali and Welcome to FTE!

My manual shows disconneting the brake line to the caliber and then unbolting the two caliber bolts. The caliber should slide off then.

I've put pads on the rear of my '01 three times now, i've never had to disconnect the calipers....c-clamps work nice
