Ran over a tree

So I was on my way to work the other morning during a pretty bad storm and my tempermental electric fuel pump starting acting up so I turned around to go back and get my car. As i crested one of the hills (narrow, rarely travelled back roads) a big bolt of lightning flashed. As soon as sight returned I was almost on top of a tree about the size of a telephone pole that had just fallen. (I had just come thru less than 5 minutes before.) I didn't have time to even take my foot off the gas. When I hit it I was launched completely off the ground and landed on the shoulder in the oncoming lane. I've never hit anything so hard in my life. The first thing I noticed was the left front tire was flat and the fan shroud was into the fan. The second thing I noticed was that I was still alive.

The last few days I've been trying find everything that suffered from the mighty blow and fix it. I had just bought a set of Eagle Alloys 15 X 10 rims with some crappy 33's about a month ago. It bent one of the fronts a little and mangled the other one. The whole front clip re-adjusted it self so nothing lined up any more. The stereo lost power, one headlight went out, the center cablight lost its ground, and the taillights quit working.

So far I think I've got all that stuff fixed, but now I notice that the right front wheel has a slight lean to it. (negative camber) I notice that the radius arm bushings seem to be dislodged somewhat. How hard is it to change the bushings and check for a bent arm and/or bracket? Does the whole arm have to come out of there?

A bent radius arm or messed up bushings won't cause negative camber. You've got either a bent TTB arm or a bent frame.

I checked for ball joints first and they seem to be pretty solid. Before this happened I always had a little too much positive camber. Now the left side looks good but the right has just a little negative. Maybe a degree or so out; its not much.

I've always wondered why I see some Fords with extreme negative camber from time to time. I see one at work thats really bad. What causes that? And why do people keep driving them like that?
