Newbie: Hose ID please..
I have a 01 Ranger, V6 SOHC. Noticed gas mileage was horrible. Check engine light had been on when i bought it from my friend. Replace EGR position sensor, no change. I was leaving one day and forgot something inside; heard a loud whistling sound from engine, popped the hood and moved the upper radiator hose up a little to see the vaccuum hose directly under has slit right on the 90 degree. Im just wondering if anyone knows the exact name and/or part number for this hose?
Ive read posts about some silicone type hose only the dealer sells. Please help, living in CA all these smog rules and this hose caused me to fail my test.

You might be able to cut off the tip of the hose and put it back on if it's not a pressure fit hose. Other than that, the dealership should be able to help you better than us. I know my local dealership has detailed diagrams on their comp that they'll let me look at. If you're unsure with what you're getting, ask to see the on-screen diagram to confirm that it is indeed, the right part.
