OK, Earl, I know it's the wrong forum, but .... On the below Marmon-Herrington thread 1952henry mentioned a 1942 Ranger that a fellow has. It got me thinking about this old '47 school bus that's for sale in Moriarty, New Mexico. It still has it's rear bench seats that go long ways front to back. It's a neat ol' truck. If anybody has to have it PM me and I'll give you the name of the place and phone number. Stu
Moriarty is in my neighborhood! Not that I need a project like this, but it is an odd duck all right. I'd about guarantee that being used in the red-dirt of that area, it's been rusted out pretty good in "all the usual places". How did you come across it?
Moriarty is a favorite stop on old 66. I highly recommend the El Comador (sp?)restaurant in the old part of town. I didn't see a lot of rust on the bus, but that's maybe my midwestern viewpoint. Us rust belt guys have been known to rebuild a truck around a VIN plate ya know.
Man, this is right in my backyard! If i tried to stuff one more truck in my back yard my ol' lady would have a cow. I know she won't leave me though, if she did she'd have to take half of my stuff!!
It reminds me of the GORDONS potato chip truck you used to see on their bag.only it was red with no windows. man that would be a cool one ! if it was drivable and just cleaned up a bit, it would be a big atraction at the shows the way it is now.
