223 oil pan stripped, knocked loose
So I got sick of my 63 dripping oil from the drain plug and I decided to fix it (aka break it). Any way I knocked the threads that the plug screws into loose in the inside of the pan. So now the plan is to remove the oil pan and weld a nut in the inside of the pan to thread the plug into. Hows my plan? I gotta drive this thing to work on Monday.

Consider using a fine thread bolt and nut. I have also made drain plugs for automatic transmission pans with a 1/2" UNF bolt, nut, and 2 nylon washers. I drilled a hole down the middle of the bolt and tapped it for a 1/8" pipe plug. Is exactly what B&M will sell you for about $10.
