66' with a 427 from the factory?

66' with a 427 from the factory?
Does anyone know anything about a F100 that came with a 427 from Ford? I was told Ford produced 5 to 10 of this combination and gave them to the factory sponsored drag teams to pull their trailers. Please let me know if you have any documentation or articles to confirm this. Thanks Ford truck Guy

Thanks for the picture of the 427 drag truck. I will be posting some pictures of my project in the near future. Will be a clone of the one in the picture, but no number or decals. Purely a sleeper. watch for my postings. Thanks Again, Ford Truck Guy

The Owner actually took out the medium riser 427 and shoe horned a SOHC 427 in there....Campained it with the SOHC and beat everyone...Just a little masaging of the firewall with a BFH was necessary....
