Hi folks, i'm looking for plans for building a steerable style towdolly. has anyone built something recently? I was considering using a spindle and hub assembly for the steering portion on top of an 4500lb axle, ideas?
My brother is always trading for something, sometimes they run sometimes they don't. seems like we could use one about once a week to move some vehicle or "truck" somewhere. wasn't to long ago he went to vermont after a car for his son. BTW were in ky! we both drive f350's so a truck that is able to do the job is no problem.
Thanks Tim, my question was for "steerable style towdolly"
There are plenty of dealers around that sell dollys for $600-800.00. Do you think you can build one better, cheeper, ready to drive away for much less? I know it can be done, but for that kind of money you can be playing, or still planning on the one that you hope to build.
