I have two sons, one who has tons of interest in trucks and one who has none. The one who has none thought he would clean out my daily driver, he meant well, but while cleaning out the ash tray he tossed the 4 stainless clips for our 1960 custom cab stainless windshield trim and they are heading to the land fill with the rest of the trash..........arrrrrr
BTW I have not told the other son yet, it may not be pretty.
If the joint clip is the same size as the 56, mid fifty carries them but they are pricy! Orignal ford clip is $26.00 each yes I said EACH! The repros are $8.00 each
I'd head down to bear run and find some that find there way to my empty pockets.
I haven't the foggiest idea of what the clips you need look like but this is something I did with the SS windshield trim I have on my '49. I lost the 1" clip that covers the seam at the bottom of the trim piece so I took an extra "U" trim piece I have for the front of the hood, they surround the hood latches on the '48-50, and cut a 1" piece out of it. The contour matched the windshield perfectly. Do you have an extra trim piece for your truck that would have the same contour that you cut up? Again, I don't know the piece you need but this is an idea I thought I would throw in. You should post a picture of one, maybe a picture of a truck that has them or maybe lay out the trim pieces that you have and point out where the pieces go. It can't hurt.
