Hello guys I know no one knows exactly but I have 280,000 miles on my V10 and I just had to change the transmission. Everything else is still very tight. The only thing I am worried about is the oil pump. Anyone have a guess or should I just change it out and feel better. The pressure is fine and never fluctuates or anything like that.
i agree with big ryan.if you have a real gague hooked to her,and are at least awake .when she lets go,she will start ticking, hit the kill button IMMEDIATLY,she will be fine.it won't damage it anymore than almost 300,00 already has.relax and enjoy.
I do not have a mechanical gauge on it yet and that is part of what started me thinking about changing it. Anyone have suggestions on a pillar supplier for gauge mounts and gauges as well. Also how do you get the line through the firewall. There is no place to run on on these new vehicles. Do you cut a hole in the firewall or something like that. Suggestions welcomed.

I've done it, there's a place for "upfitters" to run wires through the firewall, but don't recall right now where it is.
It's a rubber plug, just poke a hole through it, and use a little silicone to seal it after your all done.
Since you have the automatic you're not using the BIG hole where the clutch master cylinder bolts up. Look behind the brake master cylinder and you'll see a hard piece of plastic about two inches tall by four inches wide with an arrow pointing up. Pry this piece of plastic off and you'll see a whole about 1 1/2" diameter, which is where the clutch rod comes through the firewall. Modify the plastic plug; drill a hole in it and install a rubber grommet, then re-insert it into the whole. Under the dash the firewall insulation has been cut where the clutch rod goes through and an insulation "plug" has been put in. You should be able to run anything you need to through this hole.
