99.5' super cab. The Passenger front door has a wind leak/noise at freeway speeds and it also rattles on washboard roads like it is not latched all the way. The rear door latches real tight but the front is closed it seems to be a little loose, I can push it in about 3/16" with my hand.
What is the best way to get the door to shut tighter? I tried to loosen and move in the striker but I broke the torx bit in the process. Any help would be great.
When you close the rear door, make sure the bottom latch is actually latched. (Pull out on it at the bottom.) The seals are real thick there and require more force to close completely on the small rear door. Then the front should close tightly with no wind noise or rattles.
In my 2001 supercab, I removed the torx-head bolts and replaced them with regular hex-head bolts with a shoulder on the head, and used a flat washer underneath.
I also had to open up the holes in the striker. Now, I can adjust the rear doors in far enough that the doors don't rattle (much).
