Is it a 390 or a 391?
I've got an older RV built on what I think is a 1975 F-500 chassis. Until now I thought the motor was a 390 but the local parts counter guy says it's possible it's a 391.
I guess I'd like to know for sure what it is. Anybody know how to tell?

go to the FE forum and those guys can help you out quicker i bet.. they've helped me a ton!!! the 391 has a longer cranksnout as well as being a larger diameter.... get some casting numbers off the heads and intake and then post em over in the other forum and kurt will be right on it..
