I have a 1940 Ford 3/4 Ton Stake Bed with the Original 16 " Wheels ( Bolt Pattern like a V W ) with Hub Caps. This Truck is similar to the 1 1/2 Ton except shorter Bed & the 16 " Wheels.
I would like to put different Wheels on.
Does anyone know of a Wheel Company that may make Adapters or Wheels for that Bolt Configuration???
http://autohobbypage.com/cgi-bin/_tr...spf/nat330.jpg This link if it works is supposedly of a 1940 1 1/2 ton, according to the site. I've been told it is more likely a 3/4 ton. The guy must have changed axles to be able to use the wheels that are shown.
Congrats on your truck. I think they are even nicer than the 1940 1/2 tons.
mo, threr no adapters that i know of but the wide 5 pattern is still popular among some of the dirt track classes. get a speedway or other race car catalog and you will find wheels. by the way, dont mess up the rear studs, NOBODY makes them anymore.
THANKS Again for the Replies..........
I have owned this truck for over 35 years and have been told that I would have to change Front Spindles or Axle & Rear End or Axles to get different wheels.....Everything is ORIGINAL except Engine, Trans & Voltage........
I have a few friends in Dirt Racing & will check further........
THANKS Again
