fuel sending unit

Anyone out there have a sending unit for the saddle tank on one of our trucks they wouldnt mind maprting with? Even one that has gone bad? I tapped mine for a return line for fuel injection many moons ago, right in the way of the connector (DUH!) I finally got bit on the rear tonight, on the freeway, at the worst possible place, Tweety sputtered and died. Anyone able to help?????

well you could leave the sending unit in and just make a hole for a new one. On my auxilery saddle tank thats what i did. JCwhitney makes a fuel sending unit that you cut, and bend the float arm to the demensions of the tank you have. Its made a by another company, and works great. The instructions tell you how to caculate what bend to make. I calibrated mine to have 3 gallons left when on empty. Just make sure when you drop the tank, and you cut the hole, that you neutralize the fuel, or let it air out for a couple of weeks to be on the safe side.
