My Symptoms - E4OD
- Hard Engaging ( From Park to Drive or Reverse).
- When pulling the boat it seems that the engine revs and the truck pokes along (If I had to pull up a hill i don't think I would make it.)
- I would say the shifting is a little mushy. Doesn't seem that it wants to kick down a gear under load. And it also seems to shift a bit early.
Are these all "rebuild symptoms" I basically want to know and be assured that a rebuild would fix ALL of these issues.

120 000 miles....186500 Kms.
I just did the TPS checks:
5.02 v from the PCM
0.94v at idles poistion
4.96v at full open
3kohms at idle position
350ohms at full open
Resistance changes smoothly through the travel
Sooooo TPS is "good"

Hi
Not long ago I had a tranny problem that would come and go but was getting worst with time. Irratic shifts, laying down and not downshifting.
Drove me nuts I checked everything possible. Took it to two tranny shops they found nothing wrong.
Then the third shop found it. A bad wire in the computer harness that run back to the transfer case. It would ground out and cause the problems. Now i guess i should have started this by saying mine is a 1990 Bronco. 351 with E4OD
