I still have my stock 35 gallon tank in my "87". During Hurricane Katrina I had a full service gas station. I just popped the line off my fuel regulator and attached a longer piece of hose and filled my generator from the fuel tank of my Bronco. I have a 351 with a carb, not stock at all! I have a Mallory marine 110 GPH electric pump and it worked great. I am sure you can jump out the relay's on a stock set-up and do the same thiing. What is the biggest fuel tank you guy's have seen out there? I think I have seen somewhere a 45 gallon tank.

i have a 32 gallon tank and that is enough for me, well for the pocket book, it sucks filling up. but i also have 2, 5 gallon jerry cans for some extra gass, that is enough gas for me
I don't know where you live, but try storing 7 jerry cans (35 gal. Bronco gas tank 5 gallon tanks X 7 = 35) when a Hurricane is coming. I have a 5 gallon tank on my generator that I fill, 4-5 gallon jerry cans, and the Bronco tank. along with my dual tank F-150 work truck. You may think that's enough, but ask the people on the gulf coast right now! I have been through Hurricane Andrew and alotta other storms. The last thing ya wanna do is having to go look for gas. Now don't get me wrong, I don't plan on topping the darn thing off during normal conditions. I am not a rich man, just a pepared one!

That's funny. I ran my generator off the fuel in my Bronco tank too during the last three storms that hit here. My 96 is EFI though, so I came up with a different method. My generator has an electric fuel pump built in. It's inline with the gen fuel tank, so I installed a Y, a valve and a length of semi rigid gas line. I simply shoved the (clean) gas line into the filler area of my Bronco, stuffed a rag wrapped with a plastic bag to seal it a little, and fired up the generator.
Improvise, adapt and over come! That's what I am talking about. After a hurricane it'sa little too late to go, "OH CRAP" I need gas! I guess it's a Florida thing???

had an old power wagon that had a stock tank of 35 gal and then a custom aux tank for a back seat that was 92 gallon's..lol imagin the bill to fill that up 10 years ago lol better yet imagine now
God, I hope you did'nt smoke!!! I just don't want to be caught off gaurd. It's not like the fuel would go to waste if I did'nt use it. I have a boat and the Bronco too use the gas in. My Dad just told me he has a 35 gallon Stainless Steel gas tank in his shed. Now I must play and see what I can accomplish or Fart up!

To fill both tanks up from empty depending on where you live it'd cost about $380 for gas.
I think I could find something else to use $400 on, than just to fill up a gas tank.
The gas prices are unbolivable!
i know..which is the reason the truck is sold....but the reason that we did that to it was because we'd be able to go a month or 2 durin the winter while we were plowing befor we'd fill it up again. and i know gas prices are unbelivable, i just bought a motocycle
