can I fit a 4" DP???
dose any one know how big of a dp I can fit on a 97 f350 cc OBS??
I thoough that 3" was the max but a guy at carquest was telling me i could fit 4" is he speeing true? thanks much J

a 4" fits with a little assistance from mr. portapower......
gotta get the 4" turbine outlet for your turbo. i cant remember where i got mine from but moreph on tds is who directed me in the right direction to get it.

Hey jake thanks its been a while since I've been on. Is the 3"a good way to go if I 'm not palnning on canhing out the restof the exhaust sys? I 'm still working on gettin gmy egts down alittlt for towing my ponys around and planingon getting an eonomy burn form tony.

if your gonna run stock injectors the 3" is fine.
intercooling will really drop thoose egt's down big time
im at work today just babysitting subcontractors and running out of things to do. washed and waxed my truck polished my wheels......wish theese morons would hurry up.

Well thann I'll think Ill order on from DPP theyv got a good pric ona 3" an intercooler would be nic but my nexy big investment is going to be a manual trany I' m not a fan of having a auto for what I do I nearly smoked it th other day going up some steep back roads slw with a trailer good thing I had done the t/c lock mod or it would be gone. I'v got the day off first ina while the ranch here has been all ina cluster with sick horses and such. but I'm to day I'm making a knife for a friend Ilove having a forge around .. dos an intercooler help with power to??thanks J

an ic wont actually add power but will keep the power you had when the intake temps were lower. you notice on long grades how it seems like the truck looses power the further you get up and the higher the egts get up?
the ic will keep your intake temps in check so you have a denser air charge. with the ic then you can go with bigger injectors and a 1.0ar housing for more response.....

gotcha that makes sence , how diffacult is tha insatlation of an IC?? it looks like it would be a pain in the rear! J

its not too bad i did mine in about 8 hours. i got an extra ic core at home right now. the kit gtsmotorsports has makes it real easy on the obs rigs
i still gotta get a forge it hasnt been very high up on the list. glad all my horses are barefoot except for my mare that has navicular....the fun of bar shoes every 6 weeks....

Well that has me some what interested. I was looking at the intercooler on the sd f550's we use on the ranch and it looks like a royal pain to get at.
the forge is nice but i dont do a ton of hot shoeing , I learnd cold first and thats whats easy for me. enless I 'm doing big old draft feet. you just have to hit them too hard when there cold! are you doing your own shoing and trimming?
If so you can make a real nice bar shoe by useing a shoe that is 2-3 sizes too big shaping it to the foot then bend the heals in till they touch and welding them with an arc welder or mig, works great. I use that on a little navicular mare here,. I also realy like putting rocker toe on her to makes a huge differance in her comfort . J

Sound like I great horse, the mare here w/ navicualr is also great but Ithink she got the condition threough her geans she has tiny contracted feet aon a farly stout horse. aother wise I'd love to breed her. she has a great attatude! oh well such is the luck..
