When I back up with my trailer on with my 2001 F350 my tranmission temp goes up very quickly.
I have a 38.5' toy hauler. When I back up my temp gauge goes to about 240 f.
Also this last time transmission fluid came out also.
What the hell causes this???? Also right after this my second gear when in my tranny. I guess I should tell you I have a 2001 F350 auto ps. Help! !
sounds like you have a burned up tranny. mine started pukeing fluid once when it ran very hot. where was the fluid coming from? mine was leaking from the bellhousing area. a quick fix that i found worked for a couple weeks was a bottle of trans stop leak or no slip. i picked some up at pep boys. i would start looking for a new trans because 240 degrees is way too hot. i replaced mine with an ATS trans and a larger cooler and it runs under 150 degrees all the time.do you have a chip, large tires, or any other mods done to the truck? hope this helps.
