fuel leak, pooled in engine valley

my buddy has a 96 powerstroke and it has a bad fuel leak. The engine valley is filled with fuel. I cant see where the fule is leaking from but i see the powerstroke fuel pump is on top of the engine.
He says its been starting hard and idles rough. Anyone have an idea where the leak is, its kind of hard to see back there.
Also, where is the ip located on these things?

Glad i drive an IDI, can you spell SIMPLE.

theres a weep oil on the fuel pump my truck is the same year i could not see the leak till i removed the pump, the icp is on the drivers side head on the front side of the valley

weep oil, what is that? What are you saying is wrong? Does the lift pump need replaced?

check the fuel filter lid, the water drain valve, or the filter bowl.

fire it up and see where that fuel is coming from. gotta pull that stupid engine cover off that will help.
