I have come into possesion of a 1996 PS 7.3 Turbo Diesel which now has 39k on it. He couldnt drive it much and I have put about 10k on it in the last year or so,
My question is:
Anything I need to know?
I've changed the oil, kind of a shock to go thru that much as compared to my old Ranger, but besides that I know nothing of diesels besides i love drivin in the mountains and passing all the gas trucks luggin up hills
Should I be worried about cruising up big hills?
I drive it about 10-20 miles a day to work and back, not much stop n go mainly freeway and major city streets
Any info about the 7.3 PS would help.
Suggested maintenance, normal problems, etc....
Wow what low milage. Just do the regular maintance and you shouldn't have any problems. How was the truck maintained? I think your going to love this truck. Only problem you'll have is just an age thing plastic stuff and rubber will start failing just because of age. I got my Grandfathers "73 chevy from him in '88 had 23000 miles on it lost a tire on way home and rubber arond doors and windows leaked a touch but what a great truck with that low a miles.
Good luck and welcome.

You have definitely come to the right palce. There's enough info on this forum to keep you reading until you're 693 years old. Just search for whatever you want to read about. You can also find some very helpful comrades here who have encountered just about any problem that you might have and they're more than willing to share their advice. You will come to understand just how great this place is, trust me.........
