If you haven't already, take the opportunity (being summer) to remove the rust (if any) and paint the area under each door. Both my previous 00 and my current 99 XP-XLT got them (both white like yours), and I scraped the rust and painted them as soon as I had the opportunity. The white paint of XP is easy to match with commercially available spray paint, I remember using rust inhibitor paint with industrial-looking name-brand/face, you can't miss it if you see it. The color is exactl;y the same as our XP's.
Yeah actually I found just a small amount of rust under the drivers side rear door the other day. Time to go out an get a big wire wheel and go to town on it and any of the other doors that have rust on them. Did you get the white paint at an autoparts store?
I believe I did,the paint is gloss-white "Krylon Rust Tough Rust Preventative Enamels". It should be easy to find. I'm sure there are other paint options but I found that the color of this paint exactly matches white XP, plus its application should suit the purpose.
You may want to add to your painting task the usually ugly/rusty hitch if you have one installed - I did it using flat black spary paint but you could get any color to suit your fancy.
My next painting project is white caliper, I did it for my wife's V70 (color it yellow) and it's kind of cool. I will do white for my XP to match the body - I already found high-heat white spray paint at Home Depot.

I found some of the Krylon Rust Tough Rust Preventative Enamels at my local Advanced Autoparts and did my doors this past saturday. Have to say they look 10x better than they did before.
