Be sure to remove the FILL plug BEFORE you drain the transfer case. Been more than one person drain the case then realize they couldn't get the fill plug out!
I've tried various fill methods and now use the hand pump w/hose (mentioned above) that screws into the fluid bottle. Works great!
Some help. Go to the marine section of Walmart in sporting goods or parts store or boat shop. They make a pump that screws onto quart bottles for about 7 bucks. Even fancier is a drill pump that goes on cordless drill also a boat store item.
Man....once again I've saved money from reading this forum.....I paid $4. for the 2 qts. of tranny fluid and got it done in only a few minutes....The Valvoline Quick change place wanted $50 to do it!!!! AND the big win is that it took care of my shudder on take off!!! The oil was pretty dark too!!!! thanks again, everyone!!
