I need help and have already posted it in the suspension category and haven't had a response. Maybe someone here will know....
Can someone tell me the major difference in the 2wd suspension kits and 4wd kits? Is there really that much difference? I found a kit for a really good price but is for a 2wd truck and I have 4 wheel.. can I buy the kit and use most of it and maybe buy any other parts that I need. This kit is for a 2002 expedition 2wd.. I have a 2002 expedition 4x4.
any help would be appreciated...
Thanks,
Mike

It won't work. Your 4X4 has torsion bars and different knuckles than a 4X2. Not to mention that your front diff needs to be relocated. I have a lifted 4x2 98 f150, very different from a 4X4. How high do you want to go? On the 01 F150 I used to have I got 1 1/2" by adjusting the torsion bars (dont go any higher or the cv joints will wear too fast). That allowed me to run a 33" tire on a 16X8 wheel without rubbing. If you want a lift kit dont half step and piece it together, it'll wind up costing more in the long run just to get it right.
