hello...ive got an 87 f-150 4x4 with an efi 302...i just got an 80 f-150 with a carbed 302...im going to put an edelbrock performer package on the 80 motor and drop it in my 87. my question is when i yank the computer and harness from the truck...will i lose anything i need that the computer controlled? like fuel pumps or guages? ive got the dual tank with electric pumps, and im going to just install an adjustable pressure regulator for the carb...also if anyone knows of a diagram to hook up the duraspark 2 setup from the 80 to the 87 i would greatly appreciate it...thanks

Take out the high pressure frame pump and use a regulator, and fuel system should be ok. You will have to find an alternate method to control fuel pump power as the computer does that with EFI. The wiring for the gauges is also contained in the EFI harness, but that consists of one wire for the oil pressure, one wire for coolant temp, and one wire for the tach. The A/C if you have it might also need consideration, although I don't know if the computer cycles the compressor or not. I don't know about the Duraspark, maybe someone else can help with that.
