RABS II - Not getting codes
Still thrashing...Got lockup of the right rear wheel. Haynes says AFTER 92'...RABS II. My 92' F150 4x4 sure appears to have the later version. Pulled off the glove box and found the brass box which appears to be the module. Located the connector with the black/orange wire at the glove box hinge on the right side near the door jam. It was not connected to anything and I could not find a lead that might make sense??? Turned the key to the run position and grounded as instructed. ABS indicator lights-up when grounded, but, nothing else happens when grounding removed (light goes out). Hmmmm?
ABS indicator works as manual indicates it should. Remains lit briefly after starting and then goes out. Parking brake indicator light also works properly.
Noted a second connector at the glove box hinge on the left side with black/orange wire of smaller guage. Had no affect of anykind on ABS indicator light. Both connectors located are female and too far apart to join.
Any ideas on what direction I should take?
