water problem, please help, its urgent
i have an '89 f-150 with a 300 straight 6 cyl. i used to have problems drowning my truck out in the rain until i changed the distibutor cap and sealed it and the ignition module.
yesterday i washed my engine and i started it up and pulled it into the garage. this morning it wouldnt start. the engine turns over but somehow it wont start. the battery and plugs are fine. however we did test the fuel pump and it is getting no voltage and pumping no fuel. the filter is fine. please help me. i cant be late for work again. thanks in advance.

OK Adam,
Here are some things to consider. When you first turn on the ignition do you get the one-second fuel pump whine ??? If not, need to check the pump relay. If the pump relay is working you can feel it click. Next need to ensure 12 volts are leaving the relay and going to the pump. If the pump relay is not working because it is not receiving 12 volts, the problem may be the EEC relay. I had a similar problem that turned out to be the computer ground connector just next to the battery on the negative cable. Although you suspect the fuel system, also check the ignition system. While the engine cranks do you have a spark at the plugs ?? If not the TFI module or distributor pick up might be players. Good Luck
