OK.... just read the the posting from Ben? who wants to install a carb in place of the EFI... Wonder why? I have a gas guzzling 4 barrel on my 86 F150 (351W), and can't pass my emissions any more. I have a 650cf Holley add-on fuel injector unit that is "open loop" (no oxygen sensor). I'm hoping to do this when I rebuild the engine (soon, I hope) but does anyone have any experience with doing this? It should be a fairly simple install, but not doing this before, I'm looking for input!

That's right! It's easy as cake mix to install the Holley Injection units.About the hardest thing is to install the high pressure pump under the truck near the gas tank and while you are there,put a filter on the suction side also.Up front,I recommend a phenolic spacer gasket to dissapate heat from the throttle body,but nothing real thick.And dont forget the forgoten EGR spacer plate gasket under the carb you have now!Follow the instructions and if you are not clear on something,give us a post.

Can you point me to reference areas or tell me how to go about finding the right projection system for my '83 Ford 460 (in an E350 RV), as well as info on all the rest of the parts 'n pieces that go along with it, like "open loop" vs "closed loop", etc?
Also, I got a recommendation from a speed shop that the birchwood heat spacer was even better than a phenolic block for heat isolation. It looks considerably thicker than the phenolic, however, and I'm not sure if the E350 has enough clearance for that.
I'm experiencing chronic vapor lock with this rig; last week I re-routed and insulated the fuel lines and so far have not experienced vapor lock. However, mileage sucks and power is not what I hope it should be.
