I've been doing more research to improve my E4OD and ran across some mods to improve the functioning of the coast clutch. Does anyone know what this is and how it works?
AutoTrans has a product out called a Coast Clutch Controller that plugs into the wiring harness on the tranny. It's supposed to regulate when the coast clutch is engaged and not engaged. Apparently it's better for the tranny if the CC is on in 1 and 2 and off for 3 and 4 gears. Supposed to improve mileage and prolong the life of the engine, especially the overdrive slag (sp?).
For $59 it might be worth it to save the tranny from a premature failure. Any thoughts?
