Satellite Radio Installation (05 Expedition)

I've been an XM junkie for a little over three years. I don't want to change, but I'd rather not use an FM modulator if possible.

Just double-checking my facts here:

The 2005 Expedition in-dash 6-CD head unit with a Satellite button is compatible with an add-on satellite unit that does NOT require FM modulation.

Initially, Ford was only supporting Sirius, but now an XM unit is available that runs through an adapter of some sort, and displays on the screen of the factory head unit.

I found a link somewhere that described how to remove the dash on an Expedition, it doesn't sound too difficult to me. Two bolts and a few snap connectors. I've done these installs in Hondas and GMC's without any trouble. Ford doesn't scare me.

Here are my links, if anyone knows of a better deal or any pitfalls that await me, please let me know. I should be attempting this install myself within a month.

Thanks!

Here's the discussion about the install from an XM forum:

Here is another site to get it from

http://www.myradiostore.us/xm-radio-...01-frd100.html

For the xmdirect unit at xmfanstore you need to add the Ford cable, which is already included at Myradiostore. I can't seem to find it at the xmfanstore.
