looking for better steering for my 72 F100 4x4

after new ball joints and center link Im still getting binding sometimes . im thinking its the box , cab mounts seem fine? deciding what to do next? replace man. box . or go to reworked 74 -79 pow. st. box like article on website. also read that someone used a toyota steering box to fix problem but they gave no details or specefics. would like to find the details of this swap . parts needed and so on. what the best fix? anybody tried these or another way? Anyone have a new or super good used man. box and shaft that connects box to column for my 72 F100 4x4 thanks dm912mac@msn.com

The cheapest and most effective way to go is the Toyota box. There are actually several different power boxes you can use, I am using a complete system from an early 90's Nissan Pathfinder.

I thought 1972 F-100 4x4s used king pins instead of ball joints and JBG was the only place where I could find used ones, forget new ones. What did you actually do to make them "new"?

Does it bind while the front end is on jack stands or only when the wheels are on the ground?
