I am lookng at removing the 350 out of my '47 1/2 ton and puting a flathead in. I have seen several for sale but have no idea of what model flathead I should use or what auto trany would work best with it. I looked at an 8BA and am not concerned with putting an engine that was originaly avalible in this truck but I use my truck as a driver and still need to tow the boat to the lake (that's how I sold my wife on this truck). Any information or sorces whare I can do some research would be great.

The brake project is currently being acomplished. I am having a bit of fun fabricating the remote resovor and brackets for the power master cylender I am putting under the floor board. I had a problem of paying over $400 for one I found for this application. The previous thread I had about the brakes saved me alot of time in my design of this system and hopefuly keep me away from some mistakes.
Tottspop, sounds like you have it covered. I'm going to start disc installation myself in the next couple days.
Check out www.bonusbuilt.com look under brake upgrades there is some good information there. Also while you are there look at the center section on the home page. Look at the pictures under "how to flip an F1 and walk away from it".
