I am looking at putting a fuel injected 460 into my 1977 Ford pickup. I have all the wiring for the motor and the computer. I am wondering about problems wiring it into my truck. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
You may also have a speed sensor issue(where to mount it).
You may need to change the brake pedal switch(it sends a signal to the computer).
You may need to change the clutch switch or the neutral safety switch(these also send signals to the computer).
Did the computer/engine come out of a automatic? If it did, it has several wires that go to the original automatic.
I don't know if you can ignore all the above and just get nuisance error codes because it's not hooked up, or if it would seriously affect how it runs.
