I'm trying to figure out why I don't have brake lights on my 1990 F250. So far, I know I have power coming to the brake light switch and power coming out of it. I also have brake controller installed that trigers the brake lights if I manually "engage" the trailer brakes. I have no hazard lights and no blown fuses. If the hazards are "on" and I manually "engage" trailer brakes, the right turn signal lights up on the dash. If the hazards are off, nothing lights on the dash when I manually "engage" the trailer brakes.
Note: I do not have a trailer hooked up, but did figure out how the brake light thing so that I can drive my truck. With 8" of snow last night, I had to drive it today.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if someone knows where the flasher is located on a 1990 F250, that would be great. I looked and looked under the dash but couldn't find it.
Nevermind. I found it. I wasn't getting a full 12v to the fuse and my meter was malfuntioning. Now I just have to find why I don't have full power to it (only getting 2v not 12v).
